Ode to the Spring to Be Premiered on July 1, Surprising Benefits Available for the Fans
The film Ode to the Spring will be premiered nationwide on July 1 (this Friday) and the ticket presale is available now. The film integrates the realism and romanticism to depict a cozy story of the grassroots with mutual assistance in great difficulty. Several trailers and specials full of warmth, firmness and the sense of hope were released before to record the sincere cooperation of the cast and crew from the initial creation to the final presentation. As the first all-round "heavyweight" film in the second half of the year, Ode to the Spring can be known as the most eye-catching one.
"Heavyweight" cast collaborate to present “reality" with "true feelings"
The cast and crew of the film Ode to the Spring include Chen Daoming (chief producer), Huang Bo (producer), Zhang Hong (general producer), Zhou Nan, Zhang Chi, Tian Yusheng, Dong Yue, Rao Xiaozhi (director), Zhou Dongyu, Yin Fang, Song Xiaobao, Pan Binlong, Wang Jingchun, Zhao Jinmai, Huang Chao, Yang Si, Huang Xiaoming, Song Jia, Zhang Hangcheng (leading starring in order of appearance), Zheng Luoqian, Zeng Mengxue, Fu Yushu (starring), Li Naiwen, Wu Yanshu, and Zhao Liang (special starring). The film gathers an unprecedented "heavyweight" cast and crew including the talented young directors and actors most familiar to the audience. Zhou Dongyu, the “winner of three gold awards", performs as a tenacious and persevering girl stubbornly fighting against difficulties in the film. She and her boyfriend (Yin Fang) interpret a romantic love story full of twists and turns. The scene that Li Nanfeng, her boyfriend, runs alone in the darkness towards his sweetheart, Shang Xiaoyu (Zhou Dongyu), is particularly heart-touching; the "uncle (Song Xiaobao) and nephew (Pan Binlong)” migrant workers help the strangers warmheartedly despite of their own difficult situation; Wang Jingchun, the talented actor with the image of grassroots staff, plays a community worker full of humanity in this film. He and Zhao Jinmai interpret the daily social life full of humorous "smell of gunpowder" and the real "hustle and bustle”; the couple Huang Chao and Yang Si are "medical workers" fighting side by side. In order to reach the "battlefield" as soon as possible, they treat the patients in the daytime while embrace to encourage each other in the small car at night; Huang Xiaoming also plays a father taking care of his son alone for the first time. To present the real feeling of the character, he asked to dress him up closer to the image of a "tour guide" during the shooting with “more sunburns and weather-beaten traces”. In order to interpret the image of an ordinary middle-aged man busy with life in a real manner, he studies Sichuan dialect hard at night and even appears with his real white hair in the film for the first time. After his wife (Song Jia) joints in medical assistance in Hubei Province, he and his son (Zhang Hangcheng) fall into an "offensive and defensive war", and the father-son relationship gets slowly escalated despite some stumbles.

Cast and crew are "fastidious" about details to present the most “real weight"
For the sake of the most real quality, the cast and crew started the field research one year in advance to accumulate the materials since the early preparation. During the film shooting, the directors examined every detail with their “critical eyes" for the best outcomes. “Once again!" has become the most common order echoed at the site. Huang Chao and Yang Si went to the ICU one month in advance for the daily experience of medical staff. They learned the professional knowledge such as the disassembly of medical equipment and CPR practice... they never missed every detail.  "The authenticity, instead of the director, should be the only authority.” Director Dong Yue did so with the same opinion: the medical staff in Wuhan No. 1 Hospital were also invited to the performance; the nervous first aid and the resolute belief of medical staff in the film have successfully touched the audiences in the cinema with the feeling of great tension and heart-moving. In addition, the crew are also very fastidious about scene construction: Director Tian Yusheng visited several old residential communities to establish the community offices piled with aid materials and medical alcohol as well as the resident registration booklets on the desk according to the real scenes… Wang Jingchun was greatly shocked after walking into the filming location and doubted whether he was in a real community since he could "be brought into the character almost immediately”.
