The 11th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) officially concluded. At the star-studded closing ceremony tonight, winners of the highly anticipated Tiantan Award (Competition Section) were finally announced!

The Chinese film Beyond the Skies became the biggest winner of this year's Tiantan Award, making a clean sweep of three awards for Best Feature Film, Best Leading Actor and Best Cinematography. Notably, it is the first time that the Best Leading Actor award was granted to multiple actors in the same film. Best Cinematography was awarded to cinematographer Mi Xinjun.

Best Director went to Andrey Zaytsev, director of the Russian film A Siege Diary. Set in World War II, the film shows a life-returning journey. With his deep directing skills, Andrey empowers the film with a unique silver-screen charm.

Noée Abita, heroine of French-Belgian co-production Slalom, was the acceptor of Best Actress. The 23-year-old actress offers an extremely brilliant performance in the film. The Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress awards were respectively won by Shahab Hosseini taking on a role in Any Day Now and Nanna Skaarup Voss for her turn in The Pact.

Alongside, another three awards were announced: Best Screenplay, awarded to Christian Torpe for The Pact; Best Music, awarded to Tuomas Nikkinen/Linda Arnkil for Any Day Now; Best Visual Effects, which was vacant.
