The 13th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) with the theme of “Sharing Culture, Shared Future” will officially kick off on April 22. After reaching in-depth strategic cooperation with the BJIFF’s Organizing Committee last year, Tencent Music Entertainment Group (TME) will again serve as the exclusive music partner of the BJIFF to promote the healthy and diversified development of China’s music and film industries through the “Film Music Support Program”, “Love of Music” Online Film Song Concert, etc. At the same time, Tencent Music will also be the exclusive designated platform to release this BJIFF’s promotional song Remember When sung by Bai Baihe and Liu Yuxin. It will be released on April 15 on QQ Music, Kugou Music and Kuwo Music. The two parties will collaborate further to contribute to the long-term development of film and television music.

Guided by China Film Administration and hosted by China Media Group and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the BJIFF is an annual authoritative international film event geared to the public. In order to promote the creation and production of film music, content promotion and growth of professionals, Tencent Music and BJIFF joined hands last year to establish the first “Film Music Support Program” and to provide the industry’s top theme song creation and promotion services for award-winning films, which greatly stimulate the creation of outstanding works.

This year’s BJIFF with a new theme launched the promotional song Remember When based on the memories of filmmakers while maintaining the mission of “Share the Screen, Shape the Future” and the core value concept of “Beauty in Variety, Harmony in Diversity”. The song was produced and arranged by Lan Tianqi, music producer of BRTV Piggy Running Studio, with Han Yi as the lyricist. It recalls the story of filmmakers who trust and help one another as they work hard to fulfil entrepreneurship dreams. At the same time, it also expresses the fact of filmmakers and audiences who have expectations for each other, encourage and interact while sharing the results.

Performed by actress Bai Baihe and singer Liu Yuxin, the song Remember When builds a bridge of emotions linking filmmakers, audiences, as well as China and foreign countries. Tencent Music publicizes the song to more users via the ecosystem platform. Through the innovative creation of film and television music content, Tencent Music will launch the “Love of Music” Online Film Song Concert with the BJIFF to convey this BJIFF’s vision of promoting exchanges and mutual learning among countries as well as the coordinated development of cinema around the world.

It has greatly promoted the integrated development of film, television and music.
