Registration for the First New Era Campus Songs Collection & Netcasting Starts Today Nationwide as well as in Hong Kong and Macau
On September 1, the registration for the First New Era Campus Songs Collection & Netcasting and Campus Youth Teams PK #Sing the Songs of Youth# on the Main Page of Campus Topic on Weibo was initiated. The event was jointly launched by BRTV and China Youth Network with the theme "Beautiful Youth for Great Power" to collect original campus songs on the Internet with the joint guidance by China Working Committee of Care for the Next Generations, Beijing Working Committee of Care for the Next Generations, Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, China Youth Daily, Beijing Radio & Television Station.
All the college students in Beijing and other regions in China as well as the youngsters under the age of 35 are called on to participate in this event. On the one hand, the activity aims to collect top 10 campus songs in the new era on the Internet; on the other hand, the “Support Program for Young Musicians” will also be initiated. Based on the social influence and comprehensive credibility of BRTV and China Youth Daily, as well as the principle of excavating high-quality original music and cultivating outstanding music talents, this event will provide youngsters with the opportunity and stage to show their musical talents and realize their musical dreams, lead the new fashion of Chinese pop music in 2022 with the integrity; sing 100 youth songs to praise the colorful youth, Spread positive energy and mainstream voices, express the yearning and love of youngsters for a great era and a better life, carry forward the core values of socialism, spread and inherit the excellent culture of Chinese nation, call on the youth in the new era to live up to their youth with social responsibility and forge ahead with the mission of building a great power. 
A voting list of campus singers will be established and the relevant experts, music critics, musicians and other professionals will be invited to form a jury to conduct interactions through Weibo blog comments and live broadcast. The members of the first jury have been selected, including Zhang Shuai, a professor of the Composition Department, Central Conservatory of Music; Li Gang, President of Beijing Contemporary Music Academy; Bai Jie and Wang Zhuo, the music host and hostess at Beijing Radio & Television Station; famous musicians such as Hong Bing and Li Hui, famous music critics such as Chen Xiaojun, Wang Jifan, Li Junyi, etc.
The outstanding candidates will enter the final competition for the top ten original campus songs and the top ten campus teams, join the " Support Program for Young Musicians" with long-term operational support, cash incentives, honorary certificates and other awards. In order to ignite the enthusiasm of all the college students, the whole network will collect and netcast the short videos of "Youth Songs", select the top ten Youth Campus Teams.
Music Copyright Society of China will provide membership registration service for the outstanding musicians. The jury consists of the experts from China Conservatory of Music, Central Conservatory of Music and other professional colleges will appraise and confirm the selection of original works and short videos of the youth campus teams. China Oriental Performing Arts Group will choose to sign the authors of top ten original campus songs and the top ten youth campus teams. The winner will also have the chance to become the contract anchor of BRTV’s TingTingFM. Hong Kong Orange News, Guangdong Dayin Audio-Visual Publishing House and Macau Lotus TV will serve as the co-organizers to be in charge of the promotion, works recommendation and selection of campus teams in Hong Kong and Macau.
The opening season of colleges and universities will start in golden autumn of October. From September 1 to September 30, the youngsters with musical talents are welcome to log on Weibo, upload your short video for the competition with the topic #Sing Youth Songs#. Please visit the topic page of @weibo camp #Sing Youth Songs# for detailed competition regulations. The entries must be original without infringement against other existing works. All the works must carry clear ideas and orientations to reflect the healthy and colorful campus life, reflect the Chinese spirit, the style of the era, the vigor of youth; the content and performance of the songs must be positive with beautiful melody, cutting-edge fashionable style, eclectic forms and vigor of youth.
The youth campus team should consist two or more members identified with the college logos. The registration can be organized and recommended by the colleges, or free combination from the grassroots. The team can be named by the members themselves with self-designed costumes; the songs in the short video must be sung by the team members themselves without additional adaptation or post modification. The name, costumes, background of the team shall not violate the public customs and morality, or include any commercial elements. The singing short videos beyond the Top 100 Youth Songs must be original works by the singers themselves. As for the bonus rules, additional 10 points for original songs, additional 10 points for well-known members such as Winter Olympic champions. According to the selection by the jury, 5 opportunities for additional 10 points will be awarded to excellent visual presentation and excellent costumes design, and the awarding points will be included in the final score.
The performance of original campus songs and campus youth team must be presented in the form of video, uploaded to @weibo campus and send to official email: xiaogezhengji2022@163.com.
The email should include the author's personal information (resume, creative background, contact information, etc.), the lyrics, the audio and video of the works. It’s recommended to adopt the format of mp3, wma, wav with the stereo dual channel in 44100Hz, 16 Bits, 1411kbps and above. If the aforesaid conditions cannot be satisfied, the works must carry clear singing with bright sound quality at least. On the day of registration, the organizing committee has received the first original campus song named Longing For submitted from Beijing Sports University with Hu Qijun as the author and Tang Xiaodi as the music director.
The progress of the event will be revealed at Weibo Campus, TingTing FM, China Youth Daily APP or other official platforms. The awarding ceremony of the New Era Campus Songs Collection & Netcasting will be held at Miyun Yunhu Holiday Resort on October 30, 2022. The 2022 top ten original campus songs will be released then and the top three campus songs with the highest popularity will be awarded with trophies, bonuses and prizes; the 2022 top ten campus youth teams will also be revealed with honorary certificates, bonuses and prizes.
