Create your best film of life by expressing your thoughts with lens! This year, the Organizing Committee of the Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF), launched a short video competition with the themes of “Extraordinary in Ordinary”, “Youth Age”, “Salute to the Times”, “We Are All Dream Chasers”, “No Struggle, No Youth” and “Decade in My Family”, which has solicited more than 6,000 original short videos in 5 platforms including Tik Tok, btime.com, Xigua Video, Toutiao, and Hi Video from netizens and movie enthusiasts. And three senior film critics were invited to review these videos for honor winners.

 

Today, the honor winner list is released! Winners of "Best Short Video", "Best Director", " Best Cinematography ", "Best Editing", and "Best Creativity" are as follow:

Best Short Video: Bu Lingzhao, Monster

Best Director: Wang Zhigang, Night Walk

Best Photography: Guo Shinan, The Story of the Tree

Best Editing: Tang Peiyan, Wind and Fog

Best Creativity: Zhang Yuzhou, Morning News

The "Montreal Express" channel is provided in the competition for the first time this year. Honor winners will be given the opportunity to participate in the Chinese Screening Section at the Montreal World Film Festival in addition to the 5,000 yuan bonus in cash. In the case that the winners have project to participate in the Project Pitches of the 11th or 12th BJIFF, they will be qualified for review directly.
