The 12th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) is set to kick off on August 13, 2022. The Organizing Committee of the BJIFF welcomes all the filmmakers, film business and crews at home and abroad to join the Red Carpet for the Opening Ceremony.
Along the way, the BJIFF has always been on the track of its mission to empower the film industry. 2022 marks the 12th anniversary of the BJIFF, also a new start for the BJIFF. With films as the carrier and screen as the medium, the BJIFF has been committed to enhancing its innovation and service capacity for each passing year, with an aim to create wonders for film fans and filmmakers, thus boosting the development of the film & TV industry.
The BJIFF has now become a platform to promote international cultural exchange, a leading force to boost the development of the film market, an incubator for new filmmakers and works, and an important window for the cultural development in Beijing. The Red Carpet for the Opening Ceremony also grew into a major channel of promotion for film businesses and filmmakers, and a grand event for media platforms. In 2021, we recorded 34 trending topics on the Red Carpet, 310 million reads hashtagged #北影节开幕红毯# on Weibo, over a million likes at the livestreaming on iQIYI, and nearly 90 million views on the hashtag #云上北影节#, covering 33 million users online and offline.
