The Young Filmmakers Forum—Youthful Expression and the Spirit of the Times of the BJIFF · The 29th Beijing College Student Film Festival will be held on August 17 in Beijing.

　　The forum will invite young directors, screenwriters, producers and renowned scholars to discuss “innovation in pathways for new mainstream films” and “genre expansion of new generation of creators”, and focus on young newcomers, industry dynamics and reflection on the times. As a forum completely led by young filmmakers, it will gather the power of youth, show youthful attitudes, highlight the unique youthful passion of the Beijing College Student Film Festival, build a platform for exchanges between college students and filmmakers, and showcase the cultural confidence and contemporary responsibility of young filmmakers.

　   Innovation in pathways for new mainstream films

　　The forum will invite director Wen Muye and Yao Tingting, screenwriter Yu Xi, and scholar Yang Cheng hu to share their experience in screenplay writing, genre fusion, audio and visual style and other aspects of new mainstream films, and discuss aesthetics transformation and innovation in pathways for new mainstream films.

　　Genre expansion of new generation of creators

　　The forum will invite producer Huang Xufeng, director Li Gen and Story Chen, screenwriter Li Zelin, and scholar Chen Gang to exchange their ideas about new phenomena of filmmaking by the new generation of creators, how they find inspiration and capture details from real life, and their innovation in genres, content and methods of creation.
