  Jonathan Mostow is an American director, screenwriter and producer.
  Jonathan Mostow began his filmmaking career as a student at Harvard University, where he directed award-winning shorts and documentaries.
  As a director, his credits include the blockbuster hits Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, the WWII submarine thriller U-571 (2000) starring Matthew McConaughey, which garnered two Academy Awards nominations, and the critically acclaimed Breakdown (1997) starring Kurt Russell. Other films include the Bruce Willis science-fiction drama Surrogates (2009) and the 2017 thriller The Hunter’s Prayer starring Sam Worthington.
  As a producer, Jonathan Mostow’s credits include The Game (1997) starring Michael Douglas and Sean Penn, Hancock (2008) starring Will Smith and Charlize Theron, and Playing for Keeps (2012) starring Gerard Butler, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Uma Thurman .
