Synopsis:

Familiar with the long absence, young Chen Yu returns to his hometown of Ta-pa Mountains to erect a headstone for his long-dead parents. In his hometown, he wanders around the mountains in the company of his friend Wang Yu and encounters Cheng Lin, whose father is missing, his uncle’s wife whose memories are fuzzy, and a stubborn elderly man named Li. They are all part of the story about the changes in his hometown shown in different ways: some are missing, some come back with wounds, and some are about to leave. After the headstone is erected, he says goodbye to them and sets out, with the memories of his hometown that seem to have been firmly engraved in his mind.
