Synopsis：After being traumatized as a child, Esther chooses to live as a nun. She comes to Gunsan Catholic Church, her first new post as a nun. Sang-moon is pessimistic toward the world and curses God as his wife, who left her young daughter with epilepsy behind by following after an US soldier. Esther becomes aware of the circumstances of the Sang-moon’s family and tries to help them, but they reject the help. Sang-moon who is congenital polio becomes obsessed with Esther and gradually with her body. Esther accepts Sang-moon’s curse on God. Sang-moon even tries to rape Esther in the sanctuary. Hye-jung, who witnessed it, convicts Sang-moon by death. By the death of Sang-moon, Esther takes off the ring of a lifetime pledge in front of the cross and takes off her sacred garment.
