The feast of cinema never ends on the screen!
The 14th BJIFF (taking place in Beijing from April 18 to 26, 2024) will launch the “Movies Plus Energy Aggregation”, a film crossover event, for the first time. With “movies, technology and consumption” at its core, it will be hosted in an extended area of the main venue of the Beijing Film Market. The three-day event featuring “immersive digital exhibitions + outdoor screenings + new IP designs + film and television crossover markets + ∞” will create a cross-border cultural carnival in the film and television industry at Langyuan Station with multiple combinations and flexible ways, fully responding to a series of events of the Beijing Film Market.
Since the launch of official recruitment on February 5, the event has attracted much attention of the film, cultural creativity, art, IP design and derivatives, digital human and other fields. By February 24, the number of the first batch of applications in the cultural creativity & art category has exceeded expectations.
No matter original IP designers, photography, design and derivative customization companies serving the film and television industry, or stylish and diversified cultural creativity brands, they all have a connection with the film and television industry with their own specialties.
More surprisingly, teams and platforms exploring vertical scenario applications in the film and television industry (such as playwriting, digital human production, film and television post-production, etc.) with AI have also actively participated in the event.
Under the diversified and crossover concept of “Film+”, the “Movies Plus Energy Aggregation” event is designed to promote the integration among films, technology and consumption. In order to ensure a good activity ecology and achieve the platform effect, the Organizing Committee has strictly controlled the proportion of participating business forms. It's a great pity that some of the first batch of applicants in the cultural creativity category failed to be chosen. In the meantime, we have reserved a few stalls for movies, games, animation, metaverse and other forms of business that are more closely associated with film and television digitization. We hope to together explore how to transform digital film and television assets into productivity, and empower industries that are closely related to life with easier designs and ways that cater to market needs.
Here's the list of the first batch of exhibition brands that have been chosen as well as the introduction of some select merchants. The second batch of exhibition brands are being selected. In the second batch, the Organizing Committee will focus more on the connection with films, crossover and diversified concepts, and interaction planning.
