Li Yongyi is an editing director and director in Chinese mainland. With over twenty years of experience in the industry, he is currently a director of the China Cinema Editors Association, a member of the China Film Association, and a mentor at several film festivals. Since 2007, Li Yongyi has collaborated with numerous renowned Chinese directors as an editing director. Notable works include The Dead End directed by Cao Baoping, which earned the Best Editing nomination at the 31st China's Golden Rooster Awards, Cock and Bull and other films. Since 2019, he has worked closely with director Zhang Yimou. After Under the Light, he edited films of Zhang Yimou such as Cliff Walkers, Sniper, Full River Red, and Article 20, and made editing revisions for One Second. Cliff Walkers won the Best Editing Award at the 15th Asian Film Awards, while Sniper received the Best Editing nomination at the 35th China's Golden Rooster Awards.
