Teresa Villaverde (born 1966 in Lisbon, Portugal) is a screenwriter, director, and producer. She began her artistic career with the Theatre Group of the Lisbon School of Fine Arts, where she co-wrote and co-directed stage productions. Her filmography includes notable works such as Os Três Irmãos and Água e Sal. Her films have received numerous major awards and have been selected for prestigious festivals including Cannes, Venice, and Berlin.
