"Prosperity & Harmony Light and Shadow of Huairou" The 9th BJIFF Film Carnival Opens

  The annual Film Carnival has come as scheduled in the spring. On the morning of April 14th, the 9th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF)-Film Carnival took place at the State Production Base of China Film Group in Huairou Film & Television Industry Park, Beijing, China. Famous performing artists Xie Fang and Zhang Mu, as well as film & television celebrities like Cong Shan and He Jun were invited to the event.

  The 9th BJIFF-Film Carnival is hosted by the Organizing Committee of the BJIFF, organized by Beijing TV Station and the Huairou District People's Government of Beijing Municipality. As an integral part of the BJIFF, it is a public film carnival.

  To mark the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, the 9th BJIFF-Film Carnival themed "Prosperity & Harmony  Light and Shadow of Huairou" includes six sectors: Light and Shadow of Century, Film Technology Experience, Folk Film & TV Scenes, Film & TV Role Cruise, Film Art Palace and Film-inspired Food, as well as 27 characteristic activities such as Film Screening for the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the  People's Republic of China, Stars Concert for Classic Film Songs, Classic Props Exhibition, Film Role Cosplay Cruise, Jiangnan Watertown Film & TV Situation Show and VR Film Interaction. The event will run for 19 days from April 14th to May 4th (closed on April 20th and 27th).

  The 9th BJIFF-Film Carnival, highly entertaining, interactive and experiential compared to the previous editions, will make tourists experience the charm of films through immersive interaction. For example, "Light and Shadow of Century" will present classic films and film posters; Stars Concert for Classic Film Songs on May 2nd will be star-studded. Besides, sci-fi film technology interaction devices will be set up amid the fever of Chinese sci-fi films in 2019. At last, inspired by the "windmill" logo of the BJIFF, an ocean of windmills will be created this year, to decorate the route and offer tourists an attraction for photo taking. In a word, the 9th BJIFF-Film Carnival will present a grand film culture feast to tourists to find out the history of films, see film props, experience film scenes and participate in film shooting. You will be served with film delicacies.

  With a core area of 6.99 square kilometers, Huairou Film & Television Industry Park, Beijing, China is an important carrier of Beijing's film & TV industry and events. It has completed a cumulative investment of nearly 6.5 billion yuan, and attracted over 600 film & TV enterprises and associated enterprises such as Huayi Brothers, Hairun and Pegasus. Projects such as State Production Base of the China Film Group, Stellar Megamedia, Yingchuang Space, Cineaste Garden Hotel, Beijing Baihui Arts School and Classic Car Museum have gone into operation. Projects such as the new campus of Beijing Film Academy, Producer Headquarters Base and Phase 2 of State Production Base of the China Film Group are under construction. Huairou Film & Television Industry Park, Beijing, China has served the shooting and production of over 2,800 films of China Film Group Corporation, Stellar Megamedia and other film & TV enterprises. Nearly half of domestic hits grossing over 100 million yuan in recent years such as The Founding of A Republic, Wolf Totem and The Wandering Earth were produced by Huairou's film & TV enterprises.
