Forum on Creators’ Opportunities and Challenges in the AIGC Environment

Honor Ceremony of the First AIGC Film Shorts Competition of the BJIFF. 

The events above, as an extension of the main venue of the BJIFF, will be held from April 24 to April 26! With a three-day diversified combination of "Immersive AI Technology Exhibition + AI Short Video Screening + Corporate AI Technology Exhibition + Honorary Ceremony of AI Short Video Competition", the events will fully echo the theme of the BJIFF AI Section, provide a broad AIGC communication platform and display space, and push the process of industry technology sharing, the training of academic talents, the industrial demands, and the international creative exchange. The events will also carry out full exploration around AIGC technology, improve the international communication efficiency of AI technology creation in China, and write a new chapter for the film industry empowered by AI technology. We hereby call on and welcome the filmmakers from all walks of life to jointly explore the new forms of films in the future and share the AI creative journey full of surprises.

The Outstanding Works Screening of BJIFF AI Short Video Competition and Opening Ceremony of AI Technology Exhibition, the Forum Opportunities and Challenges for Creators in the AIGC Environment will be held at the Anima, Communication University of China. The shortlisted and award-winning works will be screened at the exhibition, and the industry guests, peers and university representatives will be invited to join in the opening ceremony. The representatives of outstanding companies will attend the AIGC Technology Exhibition to display their AIGC-related technologies and works and promote the industrial exchanges and development.  

After the opening ceremony, the forum Opportunities and Challenges for Creators in the AIGC Environment will kick off. The forum will fully focus on the theme of AIGC creation and launch keynote speeches on multiple topics such as the cultivation of new film and television talents and the innovative value of AIGC. Guests will be invited to give keynote speeches and seminars will be held on the topic of digital film and television content production under the development of AIGC technology. Please stay tuned! 

In the final section of the Honor Ceremony of the BJIFF’s First "AIGC Film Shorts Competition", some industry experts will be invited to conduct a preliminary selection, and then some heavyweight judges will attend the final review and award the winners with honors to fully encourage and support the creators, display the charm of AIGG strength in the popularization of creation! 

In the name of film, with the charm of creation and the power of technology, the AI section this year will integrate cross borders and join hands to go on a global journey of AI film and television creation. It’s the first time for the BJIFF to create a sharing ceremony for AIGC content in all fields, which can enhance the integrated development of AIGC technology and digital art, meet the current needs for the popularization of digital film and television industry as well as the strength of AIGC. It can reflect the voice of the film industry and related creative industries, which is of positive significance in promoting the implementation of national digital economy development strategy and the cultural digitalization strategy. As a stage where dreams come true and a feast integrated with technology and art, the event belongs to all who are brave to challenge with great passion on films and obsessed with AI technology!

We’re looking forward to your skillful integration of AI technology in your short video whether in narrative techniques, image aesthetics, visual effects, or sound creation. In the works submitted, you need to provide a brief written description of the AI technology adopted in your work.

You are encouraged to freely explore the intersection of technology and art, and create works of profound significance from contemporary society, culture, or the unique perspectives of your own.
