The AIGC Film Shorts section consists of the Screening of Excellent Works in the BJIFF AIGC Film Shorts Competition & Opening Ceremony of the AIGC Technology Exhibition, Forum on Creators’ Opportunities and Challenges in the AIGC Environment, and Honor Ceremony of the First BJIFF AIGC Film Shorts Competition. The screening and AIGC technology exhibition aim to facilitate technological exchanges and development of the industry. Filmmakers in all communities are invited to open the new chapter of film powered by AI technology together. Let’s find out how inspiration and ideas can be transformed with AI, new forms of film in future, and how AI challenges and reshapes film narrative.
The AIGC Film Shorts Competition focuses on how AIGC helps with the creation of short arthouse films. With the development of AIGC technology, individuals’ filmmaking dreams are within reach. AI can go anywhere without boundaries! At the Forum on Creators’ Opportunities and Challenges in the AIGC Environment, under the theme of AIGC-assisted creation, panelists will discuss the development of digital film and television technology, and the production of digital film and television contents in the form of keynote speeches and roundtable dialogues. They will share opinions and set free individual creativity and imagination, thus embracing a brighter future in the AIGC age.
At the Honor Ceremony of the 1st BJIFF AIGC Film Shorts Competition, five awards, namely Best Film, Best Creativity, Best Art Design, Best Visual Effects and Audience’s Choice Award, and 10 honors of mention will be announced, and awards will be conferred to the winners. It will fully showcase the charm of AIGC’s power in universal popularization and creation. The 1st AIGC Film Shorts Section of the 14th BJIFF is technologically sponsored by Huawei, and organized by the School of Animation and Digital Arts of Communication University of China (CUC Anima). Besides, Poly Pictures and Hivideo provide technical support, and the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence (BAAI) also gives support.
