The annual Young Filmmakers Forum brings together many outstanding young filmmakers to discuss the history, present and future of films.

Films are flowing pictures that adopt lens and sound to tell endless stories and push the boundaries of art. Focusing on “Passion, Academic Sense, and Cultural Awareness”, the Beijing International Film Festival · 31st Beijing College Student Film Festival has been holding the Young Filmmakers Forum since 2020, bringing together frontline practitioners and film researchers in the film and television industry to discuss cutting-edge issues in the industry and art, and explore the social issues and artistic expression in current films of young filmmakers. 

The Young Filmmakers Forum—Topical Films and Auteur’s Expression of the Beijing International Film Festival · 31st Beijing College Student Film Festival will be held at 10:00AM -12:00PM, April 26, 2024 at O-stage, Langyuan Station. The forum has invited young directors, screenwriters, actors and other young film and television creators to explore the possibility of innovative expression of film and television art from different perspectives such as genres, artistic creation and industrial development, focusing on the emerging of topical films and auteur’s expression in the creation of young filmmakers in recent years.
