Introduction to "Classical Peking Opera Film" Section

　　The 7th BJIFF specially sets up a section for classical Peking Opera films. It will serve as a platform and carrier to further promote the Chinese traditional culture, narrate Chinese story and promote socialist core values, as well as promote the Chinese opera to the world stage.

　　The 7th BJIFF selects 5 films from Peking Opera Film Project, which are Mu Guiying Assuming Command, The Chinese Orphan, The Mirror of Fortune, The Story of The Jade Bracelet, and Xie Yaohuan. This Section widely promotes the excellent operas performed by contemporary top Peking Opera artists and musicians through stage performance and filmmaking so as to better carry forward this art. This is the most influential and significant milestone project in Peking Opera history.
