“The theme of this film is war and waiting.” said Ketevan Galdavadze, producer of Luka. The film tells a story of a family amid the war. Despite its narration of the tiny problems in a small family, the film exactly reflects the tragedies to the ordinary people caused by wars. Under the cruel wars, many young people lost their lives, and their mothers and grandmothers became destitute and homeless. In the film, Luka’s mother and grandmother was not only waiting for his body, but also waiting for a hope. However, in the miserable world, expectations always came to nothing. No one could find a satisfactory answer to his/her problem.
