The Sis Shows a Real Life in Iran – Best Actress

　　The Sis tells a story of a mother and her daughter. Tala and Ati (Sis) are a mother and daughter who have lived together for many years; almost 50 years, as long as the life of Sis. Their situation, however, does not last long, and the days of separation arrive. The separation happens when Sis depends heavily on her mother due to her special conditions, and Tala is trying to provide security for Abjs’ future in the remaining time; a future without her presence.

　　“In Iran, we call elder sister as Abji, which is a honorific. But in the film, the Abji was not respected due to bad mental state. I would like to tell people how to get along with those with sensitive emotions through this film.” Marjan Ashrafizadeh, director of The Sis, said, “I do not want to make any complaint against poverty since it is a part of our lives. I would like to show a real life to you with this film.”
