  Luan Guozhi, currently the Secretary of Party Committee of China Research Institute of Film Science & Technology and Film Technology Quality Inspection Office of State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People's Republic of China, graduated with a Master Degree of Journalism from the University of Wales. Mr. Luan once served as Deputy Director of the former International Cooperation Office of Broadcast, Film and Television Department, Chief of International Exchange Division of Film Bureau of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People's Republic of China, and Associate Counsel and Deputy Director of the Film Bureau. During his long-term work life in international exchange, he had organized and participated in dozens of Chinese film festivals held in USA, UK, France, Russia, etc. He had also directed and coordinated several sessions of Beijing International Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, Silk Road International Film Festival, etc., making great contributions in promoting cooperation and exchange between Chinese and foreign film industries, and the globalization of China’s film industry.

  YU Dong, the founder/chairman of the board/CEO of BONA Film Group, was awarded Person of the Year in China Culture Industry, Producer of the Year in Sino-US Film Festival, Special Contribution Award in Macao International Film Festival, Man of the Year for “Commercial Star”, iQIYI Producer of the Year, etc., and is on the list of business elites of Fortune.

  With his leading, BONA Film Group went IPO in US on December 9th, 2010, the first time for a Chinese media group. In April 2016, BONA finalized the privatization of the group; then in December, it completed the Series A financing with RMB 2.5 billion, and the group is reported with the valuation for RMB 15 billion.

  BONA, with Studio 8 and Columbia Pictures, invested and participated in the production of Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, which was globally released on November 2016. Furthermore, BONA has announced to work with 20th Century Fox for 6 films, including The Martian, X-Men: Apocalypse and War for the Planet of the Apes.

Mr Liang Tiehang won the award for outstanding managers as his outstanding contribution.

  ZHANG Wei, the president of China Research Institute of Film Science & Technology and director of the Film Committee in Standard Council of Radio, Film and Television, is a technical expert who receives special government allowances from the State Council. She was awarded the National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology twice, the first prize of Science and Technology Innovation for 5 times, the second prize of Science and Technology Innovation twice, the National News Prize for Scientific and Technological Promotion Progress, Outstanding Contribution Award for Science and Technology of Radio and Television Association, Outstanding Talent of WANGXUAN News for Science and Technology.

  For many years, ZHANG Wei has been working in the fields of radio and television transmission, satellite TV monitoring, video and audio programs network monitoring and digital cinema research. She has participated in the installation and inspection of major radio and television transmitters, and has been in charge of the outlining and formulation for the video and audio programs network monitoring regulation. She was in charge of the overseas radio monitoring network program; in charge of the drafting of national cable television monitoring network technical system; innovatively projected the video and audio programs network monitoring technical system; and in charge of the expansion program of the data processing center.

  In recent years, ZHANG Wei has devoted to the research of digital cinema projectors and digital copyrights protection. She led the development of the digital cinema “home theatre” system, which integrates the internet technologies to the traditional film projection, and offers a new way for film projection. This system is successfully applied into the“the Belt and Road Initiatives” Film and Television Program in order to globally promote the Chinese films by selling smart TVs overseas.

  Panelist:Michael Karagosian

  

  Michael Karagosian is President of MKPE Consulting LLC, a consultancy based in Los Angeles, California.  He is an accomplished leader in strategy development for entertainment technologies, working with technology and service providers across the motion picture and commercial entertainment industries. His accomplishments include the negotiation of virtual print fee (VPF) subsidies with the major Hollywood studios for the purchase of up to US$300M of cinema equipment in Ireland, Philippines, and South America. He was co-founder of CinemaAcoustics, a division of Peavey Electronics, and a member of the Board of Directors for pioneering 3D conversion company In-Three. Mr. Karagosian represented the technology interests of the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) for 11 years during the development of digital cinema, leading collaborations with DCI and driving the formulation of standards, including the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) and accessibility. He has worked in all aspects of patent development, including patent prosecution and both sides of infringement.

  Mr. Karagosian is an engineering and computer science graduate of U.C. Berkeley, with graduate work at Santa Clara University and UCLA. He is co-chair of the American Society of Cinematographers Technology Subcommittee on Next Generation Cinema Display, a SMPTE Life Fellow, and a Life Member of the Audio Engineering Society. In 2006, Mr. Karagosian was awarded the ShoWest Award of Appreciation for Contribution to the Advancement of Digital Cinema.

  Panelist:Julian philip Pinn

  

  Julian Pinn has over two decades of experience in the global motion picture industry as an audio and imaging specialist consulting on hundreds of international movies over their techno-artistic optimization of the cinema medium. He is also a respected senior business development and sales & marketing executive with extensive international experience with national and global organisations. Julian is a standards-member of SMPTE, the current Chair of ISO standards committee for cinematography, is the Technology Advisor to UNIC, is a full voting member of BAFTA, sits on the board of directors for the EDCF, and is the Executive Produce of IBC’s Big Screen Experience conference programme. He holds an Honours degree in Music and Sound Recording from the University of Surrey’s Tonmeister program and a Masters in Business Administration specializing in international marketing and global finance. Julian Pinn Ltd is a company that provides bespoke cloud-based content-optimization services and strategic consultancy services to a wide range of international cinema and media clients.

  David Stump is an Emmy award winner and an Academy Award winner for Scientific and Technical Achievement. He is the member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS), head of technology of Producers Guild of America (PGA) and member of American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). He has worked on numerous motion pictures and television productions; As Director of Photography for The Unwilling, Four Kings; As Visual Effects Director of Photography for Fantastic Four, X-Men, X-Men 2, Bond 22 a Quantum OF Solace, Stuart Little; As Visual Effects Supervisor for American Gods, Breaking Bad, Batman & Robin, Forever Batman, Garfield, and as Stereographer,  (including both live action work and 2D to 3D conversion work) for Immortals, X-Men Days of future past, etc.

  Panelist:Glenn Kiser

  

  Glenn holds a BA degree in psychology from Harvard.Glenn Kiser is Director of the Dolby Institute, an initiative to educate and inspire filmmakers and content creators about the creative use of sound and image in storytelling.

  From 1999 to 2010, Glenn ran Lucas film’s Sky walker Sound, where artists gathered 14 Academy Award nominations for their work on movies including Avatar, Wall-E, The Social Network, and the Star Wars prequels. Before joining Sky walker, Glenn was a post production executive at Propaganda Films, where he worked with directors including David Fincher, Spike Jonze, Jane Campion, and Neil LaBute. Glenn is also a filmmaker, and his latest short film, Sabbatical, won numerous awards and played over 40 film festivals around the globe.
