First-Day New Film Release Conferences of BJIFF 2017 Come as Arranged

　　On April 17, the second day of the 7th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF), premieres, press conferences and meet-and-greet with cast & crew of several films were held. The film festival has become a platform of communication and exhibition for film companies to publicize and promote their films.

　　On the morning of April 17, the premiere of Peking film The Story of the Jade Bracelet was first held. The Story of the Jade Bracelet is the representative work of Xun Huisheng, a well-known Peking opera performing artist. It tells a story of a young lady who married a scholar in order to save her elder brother who had killed the scholar's fiancée. Peking opera films keep all the features of Peking opera on the stage, and enhance the visibility with the aid of film techniques, which can make more people who don't understand Peking opera enjoy the old stories.

　　On the afternoon of the day, Press Conference of Peking Opera Film Project was held at Beijing International Hotel.The project aims to save, popularize and promote classical Peking operas, and make Peking opera known to the whole world.

　　This day is not only a day filled with oriental characteristics, but also a victory day for documentaries. In the afternoon, Release Ceremony of the Blue Book of Chinese Documentary Annual Report was held at Guanyunge of Beijing Broadcasting Tower. Afterwards, Signing Ceremony of Fresh Pitch Dongshan Real Image Conference and Doc China TV Broadcast Ceremony were held in succession. Then, China Documentary Industry Annual Forum 2017 was held at the same venue.

　　Apart from the above-mentioned activities, cast & crew of films including On the Milky Road, Walnut Tree, 20 30 40, and The Sun at Midnight, met and communicated with media outlets and the audience.

　　Besides, press conferences of Dangal presented by Beijing Chuangshixing International Film & TV Culture, Crazy Arts presented by Juben Film, and A Journey for Love presented by FORBOSS were held.
