“Dear Mom. Do you remember the song, the song we used to play together?”This is a story of the reunion of three daughters and their mother, located in three cities, Toyama, Kanazawa, and Tokyo.“Please forgive me for not telling you the truth. Your mother is alive.”At their grandmother’s funeral, the daughters read her farewell note and find out the fact that their mother’s still alive, alive but in a nursing home, suffering from alcoholic dementia. 19 years ago, the mother suddenly abandoned the daughters. The daughters grew up without a mother since then, and now have their own lives in separate cities. Why did she leave us?Why did she break our promise? The mother doesn’t remember her daughters anymore. But there is a music box she cherishes even after she lost her memories. And it plays Johann Pachelbel’s Canon, the song she used to play for the daughters when everything was going peacefully. “She remembers the song!” The second daughter, Ai, becomes certain that her mother does remember the past. Ai calls her sisters, Yukari and Akane, and they start the trip to trace their mother’s past and the truth together. Now, when they finally find out the truth, The piano trio of Johann Pachelbel’s Canon starts playing in a brilliant light.
