It is Abkhazia in the early 1990s, shortly after a bloody war made bitter enemies of the Georgians and Abkhazians who only yesterday were good neighbors. After losing the battle, tens of thousands of Georgians were forced to flee their homes and abandon their lives, while Abkhazia extended control over the region. A young Abkhazian family displaced by the war moves into one of the abandoned houses in a remote countryside village. Surrounded by nothing but mountains, a nearby tangerine orchard, and a single neighbor, it seems like the perfect setting for a new life in peace but living in a house of others – where forgotten memories linger within every wall – becomes a constant reminder of the horrors experienced by owners' past. Will this new home be enough to heal the psychological scars of war and resolve the battles that continue to rage within them?
