　　The “Summit on the Beauty of Film”--Development of the “Belt andRoad” Film & New Landscape of Global Film is taking place at China National Film Museum on April 22 during the 7th Beijing International Film Festival. The “Summit on the Beauty of Film” aims to conduct an in-depth study into the universal law of aesthetics generalization of the effect of cinematographic works brings to explore cultural philosophy and literary thought cinematographic works convey, creation rules and aesthetic characters of film art, relations between film art and other arts,aesthetic value and societal functions, psychological mechanism, process,characteristics, meanings and methods of appreciating film art, as well as aesthetic relation between viewers and film art. Since its inclusion into the main forum line-up of Beijing International Film Festival in 2014,the “Summit on the Beauty of Film”, driven by the influence of Beijing International Film Festival as an international platform, has now been earning a good reputation from Chinese filmdom, film viewers and all walks of life, gradually making it a brand event in film culture enjoying a certain influence in the community.

　　Through its adherence to the concept of “harmony in diversity and mutual learning and mutual benefit”, the “Summit on the Beauty of Film”--Development of the “Belt and Road” Film & New Landscape of Global Film, based on innovation as a catalyst, will focus on directing the attention of the countries along the “Belt and Road” and the world film to Beijing to facilitate international cooperation in film, and play the leading and motivational role of Chinese film. Meanwhile, it will bring Chinese films to the countries along the “Belt and Road” and the world, where film is used to tell Chinese stories, transfer China’s voice, and be an envoy of friendship in people-to-people bonds. It is our hope to improve our ability to show Chinese film to the world, strengthen China’s voice and its influence, and further promote multi-cultural integration for the “Belt and Road” in the event. This year, the summit, themed with Development of the “Belt and Road” Film & New Landscape of Global Film, will discuss the development of the “Belt and Road” film and new landscape of global film from aspects of art, investment and management, contributing wisdom to the sound development of Chinese film.
