Sino-Foreign Film Co-production Forum is Coming of the 4th BJIFF

       Sino-Foreign Film Co-production Forum, an important part of the 4th Beijing International Film Festival, will be held in Beijing Hotel on April 17, 2014.

  Sino-Foreign Film Co-production Forum, executed by China Film Co-production Corporation (CFCC), consists of co-production signing ceremony, keynote forum, hand-printing ceremony of artists, and pitch-and-catch and individual meetings of co-production projects. Top industry players and internationally established artists will be sitting on the panel, sharing their views and vision on the subject “Localization Strategy of International Co-production”, in the hope of broadening the horizon of industry exchanges and cooperation. Zhang Xun, President of China Film Co-production Corporation, will moderate the session.

  Tong Gang, Vice Minister of State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television and Chris Dodd, CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, Inc.,will be giving official notes. The forum’s panel include Oliver Stone, Alfonso Cuarón, Timur Bekmambetov, Ning Ying, Jean Reno, Pete Czernin, Frederick Huntsberry and Ye Ning, all well established in world cinema.

  Alongside the keynote forum, there will also be trailer release of China-France-Canada co-production Outcast, signing ceremony of China-France co-production Warrior's Gate and China-US co-production of The Art of War supervised by Oliver Stone.

  Pitch & Catch and Individual Meetings of Co-production Projects will take place in Theatre, Zone B, China Millennium Monument at April 18 14:00-17:30. CFCC has selected 12 quality co-production projects submitted by different production houses from at home and abroad and will provide a 12-minute pitching time for each project, followed by one-day slot for individual meetings. Both overseas and local investors and producers will be invited to the presentation and meeting venues for discussion and negotiation. CFCC staff will also be there to deal with inquiry from participants regarding co-production procedures.
