The Grand Opening of 6th Beijing International Film Festival Film Carnival in Huairou

　　Film is just like a beautiful flower blooming in the garden of the culture and arts of mankind! Film Carnival is a big party for one to have film entertaining experience. On April 9, the grand opening of 6th Beijing International Film Festival Film Carnival will be held in Huairou. Leaders like Luan Guozhi, Deputy Director of Film Bureau of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People’s Republic of China and Deputy General Secretary of the Organizing Committee of Beijing International Film Festival, Han Yu, Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (Beijing Municipal Bureau of Copyright) and Executive Deputy General Secretary of BJIFF Organizing Committee, Bian Jianguo, Associate Counsel of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film & Television and Deputy General Secretary of the organizing committee of Beijing International Film Festival, Qi Jing, Secretary of Huairou District Committee of the CPC, Chang Wei, District Mayor, Wang Shilong, Director of the Standing Committee of District Party Committee, Wu Zhan’gang, Chairman of District CPPCC, Hu Dong, Member of Standing Committee of District Party Committee and the Dead of Propaganda Department, and Ren Wujun, Deputy District Head will attend this opening ceremony.

　　This activity, which will be held in Beijing Huairou Yanqi Lake·Convention Center and China (Huairou) Film and Television Industry Demonstration Area, is organized by Organizing Committee of BJIFF, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (Beijing Municipal Bureau of Copyright) and Huairou District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality. As one of the six main activities in 6th BJIFF, Film Carnival, which lasts from April 9 to May 8, aims to provide tourists a splendid film entertaining experience.

　　We have “one main one branch” venue: main venue is Scenic Areas of Yanqi Lake, which echoes the opening and closing ceremony venue—Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center; branch venue is Huairou Film and Television Studio. 2016 happens to be the 110 anniversary of world animated film. This year’s Film Carnival uses “Fun ？ Childhood Fun ？ Return” as the theme, takes advantage of Huairou’s tourism industry, and sets up a platform for citizens and tourists to participate and have fun.

　　Scenic Areas of Yanqi Lake, as the main venue of Film Carnival, is going to set up such five activity sections as animation stars, animation music, animation food, animation crossover and animation intellectual fun. There are not only activities like Animation Music Perform, Stars Music Concert, Water-Screen Laser Show, Specialty food in Huairou ？ Great Food Street, but also Animation Film Screening, Interaction Activity with Famous Animation Stars. In addition, children will have a chance to meet their favorite cartoon characters, watch cosplay show and enjoy cartoon derivatives. We also have some newly-added some creative activities like Pets Paradise, Youth Micro Film Collection, and car film, which offers tourists a wonderful trip in the world of animation film, fully experiencing the excellency of animation and cartoon.

　　Scenic Areas of Yanqi Lake is located in Beijing Huairou Yanqi Lake Ecodevelopment Demonstration Area. This is a perfect place to hold world top-class meeting for it is equipped stadium facilities like APEC Site, Sunrise East Kempinski Hotel and International Convention Center by the side. After one year of construction, the demonstration area now boasts not only beautiful scenery, but also better travel service. In 2015, construction works in here like marina, slow-traffic system of northern line of Yanqi Lake and tourism comprehensive service have completed. This year, the area plans to build 16 kilometers long Western Hill Slow Hiking Trail System. All of that makes a ring-form tourist route which combines the lake, the road around the lake and the park with different scenery and cultural connotation. The aim is to combine health, culture and tourism and promote an all-year activity named “2016 Beijing Yanqi Lake International Health Tourism Culture Year”. The activity is consisted by Film Carnival, Happy Family Trip, Beer Festival, Fitness Photography Festival and Yanqi Ice & Snow Festival. As the first part of “Yanqi Tourism Culture Year”—6th BJIFF Film Carnival, Scenic Areas of Yanqi Lake will offer activities and routes like “Fun Carnival Theme Tour”, “Happy Carnival Family Trip”, “One Year of Animation Experiencing Trip”, “APEC Site Fitness Trip” which are distinctive, rich in content, entertaining and fun, so as to encourage tourists to participate and to be interactive.

　　Activities which will be held in China (Huairou) Film and Television Industry Demonstration Area, the branch venue, are organized by Stellar Mega Media Jinsheng Studio. China Film Base and Vintage Cars Museum welcome all tourists. Besides conventional sightseeing, this year, we have more than 10 new activities, offering a grand party of film and television themed trip to all tourists. The branch venue, which regards Film & TV costumes and properties and Film Shooting as its main features, will add some new activities and connotations. Stellar Mega Media Jinsheng Studio will launch main projects like Film and Television Experiencing Trip, and Artist Performance; activities like Culture Exhibition of Lights and Shadows, and Blockbuster Props and Scene Exhibition; projects like “I Am A Little Star” and Parent-Child Park, trying to help every tourist, both adults and children, enjoy the fun of film world.

　　There are four connections between main venue and branch venue, which are activities, entrance ticket, regular bus and publicity. For example, there will have performances like cosplay parade, child star awarding, star-fan meeting that connect two venues.
