    The 6th Beijing International Film Festival is scheduled to be held on April 16-23, 2016. Summit on the Beauty of Film, one of the three major forums for the film festival, is counting down. The summit, themed with "Charm of Comedy Film", consists of theme forum and "Film Lecture Hall".

Keynote speakers of the theme forum: 
Rao Shuguang: Member of Branch Committee of the CPC at the China Film Association, Secretary General of the China Film Association, Researcher, Doctoral Supervisor, Chief Expert of "A General History Of China's Film" Project.
    He started research on film in 1985. He focuses on film aesthetics, Chinese film history, modern Chinese film and TV, film & TV and the popular culture, etc. Academic achievements: 9 academic monographs including History of Chinese Comedy Film, 400+ articles published on major newspaper and periodicals, totalling over 3 million characters. His opinions have been widely quoted and referred to, delivering significant impact on the academic circle. He has completed a number of projects under National Social Science Foundation and social science funds project of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. Currently, he is the Chief Expert of "A General History of China's Film", key project of National Social Science Foundation. Adjunct professor at Peking University, Shanghai University, Beijing Film Academy, Communication University of China; Vice Chairman of Ethnic Film Festival at Beijing International Film Festival, Director of China Film Critics Society. He is also frequent judge for Ornamental Column Awards, Golden Rooster Awards, Art Project of National Social Science Foundation, and Social Science Funds Project of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.
Jiang Ping: General Manager of China Film Co., Ltd., Class I Director of China
       Best Director of Moscow International Film Festival, "China Top 10 Film Producers". His works have won The People’s Hundred Flowers Awards, Golden Rooster Awards, Ornamental Column Awards, Calf Awards, Five-One Project of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, Flying Goddess Award, China Golden Eagle TV Art Awards, as well as film festival awards of Cairo, Moscow, India, Hollywood, and London. He was member of China Recommendation Commission for Academy Award in 2003 and 2004. Looking for Jackie and A Tibetan Love Song directed by him were named Best Feature Film of Golden Angel Award in the 6th and 8th Sino-US Film Festival respectively. 
    He has long been member of Board of Film Censors at the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television and consultant for Beijing International Film Festival. Former titles: Deputy Director of Film Bureau at the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television, Vice General Manager of China Film Group Corporation, Head of Children's Film Studio, Secretary of Party Committee and Administrative Deputy Head of China Film Orchestra. He now assumes roles including Vice Chairman of Film Performance Art Academy and Vice Chairman of The China Committee for TV Drama Directors. 
Jason E. Squire: Associate Professor of the Practice of Cinematic Arts, USC
    In his industry career, Squire served as an executive at Avco Embassy, United Artists and 20th Century Fox. In 2012, he was hired by Beijing Film Academy as the Visiting Professor, and as the director of Hollywood Film Industry Research Center. He was also inducted as an Honorary Fellow (at the time one of eight international scholars) of The Mallen Economics of Filmed Entertainment conference. He is the editor of The Movie Business Book (The Chinese edition was published by China Film Press in 2011), and also co-edited an earlier, pioneering textbook, the subject’s original knowledge formation. Squire presented his research on DIY micro-budget movies in his scholarly paper An Introduction to DIY Marketing and Distribution which was published by Film Art. Once the editor of New York Times and Los Angeles Times, he has other global honors: Guest Lecturer to investors and executives at "The International Training Workshop of TV and Movie Industry Financial Investment," Beijing Film Academy; Keynote Speaker, Shanghai Library; Guest Lecturer to industry professionals at The Cultural & Creative Industry Management Program of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, Beijing.
Li Yansong: CEO, iQIYI Motion Pictures 
Master pieces: The Monkey King 2, Gone with the Bullets
    A film producer of the new generation. Li joined iQIYI in January 2010 as Southern Regional Senior Director, before becoming General Manager and then Film Division General Manager in Beijing. In June 2016, Li was appointed as Vice President of iQIYI and President of iQIYI Motion Pictures, fully responsible for the production, investment, promotion and distribution of iQIYI films. iQIYI Motion Pictures, an iQIYI-owned subsidiary, was established in July 17, 2014. On the same day, iQIYI Motion Pictures announced its "7 + 1" plan--seven domestic movies and one Hollywood collaboration, and forayed into the Chinese film market with its first production--the 2014 Chinese blockbuster Gone with The Bullets directed by Jiang Wen. In one and a half years, iQIYI Motion Pictures under the leadership of Li has invested and produced 17 theatrical films and 11 Internet-based movies, and released 8 films as the distributor, among which The Monkey King 2 hit a box office over RMB 1.1 billion. In 2016, iQIYI Motion Pictures will bring 11 films to Chinese film viewers, including Three, Lost In White, Call of Heroes, iGirl and Chibi Maruko Chan.
Raymond Wong Pak Ming: Hong Kong film director, producer  
Master pieces: All's Well, Ends Well series
    A famous Hong Kong film maker. In 1980, Wong formed the renowned Cinema City Co., Ltd. with Karl Maka and Dean Shek, and produced many hugely successful films, among which, Aces Go Places, Aces Go Places III, A Better Tomorrow and Eighth Happiness are four top grossing films of the year. In 1992, Wong established Mandarin Films Distribution Co., Ltd. and produced the famous film series All's Well, Ends Well, which once again broke the world box office record of the year. In recent years, Wong has worked as an executive producer, and produced Ip Man which was awarded as the Best Feature Film of the 28th Hong Kong Film Awards, and Ip Man II which was the top grossing mandarin film in the first half of 2010 in Chinese mainland. In 2009, Wong formed Pegasus Motion Pictures, presenting works like All's Well, Ends Well Too 2010, All's Well, Ends Well 2011, All's Well, End's Well 2012, Hotel Deluxe, Saving General Yang, Z Storm and Ip Man III.
Finola Dwyer: UK television and film producer
    Master pieces: After the Wave, Alien Autopsy, An Education, Brooklyn etc. An Education and Brooklyn were both nominated for the Best Feature Film, Best Actress and Best Adapted Screenplay by Academy Awards, and were nominated and honoured by many big prizes in the industry including Golden Globes and British Academy Film Awards.
    Dwyer's studio and Wildgaze Films also presented many acclaimed works, including Quartet directed by Dustin Hoffman and the documentary My Nazi Legacy.
