     Synopsis:

　　In response to the call of the nation to go and work in the countryside and mountainous areas, the educated youth Chen Zhen and Yang Ke went to live and work in a production team in Ulgai Prairie in Inner Mongolia in 1967. They got acquainted with Bilig, a Mongolian herdsman in the Prairie, and widened their knowledge on wolf, the most formidable animal in the Prairie. In touch with the wolf pack, Chen Zhen developed strong zest on the species, and he even came up with the idea of fostering a wolfkin on his own.
