The Official Poster Solicitation for the 6th BJIFF Kicks Off

    The 6th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) is to be held in April 2016.Since inception in 2011, BJIFF has been successfully held for five times, attracting 10,000 plus honorable guests and 1 million audience/times. BJIFF has greatly promoted the development of China’s film undertaking and film industry, and established a platform for enhancing Sino-foreign film exchange, transaction and cooperation.
    The Organizing Committee of BJIFF officially launched the poster solicitation activity for the 6th BJIFF. It is soliciting excellent posters from social and professional institutions. 6 posters will be shortlisted after mass selection, preliminary selection, and secondary selection. The winning individuals or units will obtain the reward and certificate of honor issued by the Organizing Committee.
    Detailed requirements for poster solicitation:
1. Full title of the activity

2. Creativity theme of works
The works should embody BJIFF’s tenet of “Share the Screen, Shape the Future”, highlight the comprehensive, multi-level and wide-range organizing mode, and emphasize the concept of benefiting the mass with culture as well as the feature of “Master, Mass and Market”.
3. Requirements for works
 (1) The submissions should be dignified, innovative in conception, fresh in idea, vibrant in color, and illustrated so as to offer everyone a refreshing feeling. The works should be modern, artistic and shocking. The submissions should go with its name and design specifications.
 (2)The submissions should contain the following elements in design:
    A. Logo of BJIFF;
    B. The standard Chinese and English names of the 6th BJIFF;
    C. The standard Chinese and English names of the host and organizer
 (3) All contents of the posters should be original, which should not have been released in any form, and shall not belong to public works.
4. Works’ specification and submission requirements
 (1) The posters in electronic format should be in JPG format and 300dpi plus. JPG format and 300dpi plus.
 (2) BJIFF’s logo and core patterns can be inquired and downloaded on BJIFF’s official website:http://www.bjiff.com.The relevant usage specifications should be followed.
 (3) Submit the Application Form of  the 6th BJIFF Poster Solicitation (please refer to Appendix 1)  with the submitter’s signature (signed, or sealed, or signed and sealed).
 (4) For works using photos, the submitters should present legal certificates of Right of Portrait or Right of Photo Usage at the same time.
 (5) The submissions should apparently differ from the propaganda posters of other film festivals.
 (6) The submissions should not contain any content against the Constitution of the People's Republic of China and other laws and regulations.
 (7) The submissions or any materials used in the work’s creation should not violate any third party’s copyright, trademark or other intellectual property or privilege. Nor should it violate any right of the third party in any form.
 (8) The submissions should not contain any content involving ethnic discrimination, religious discrimination, threatening against national friendship, or against the social morals and good customs.
 (9) All submissions will not be returned by the Organizing Committee. Please keep the manuscript by yourself.
 (10) All expenses incurred by participating in this activity should be borne by the submitter herself/himself.
5. Copyright statement
 (1) All submissions should ensure the originality of the design. In case any tort happens, the submitter shall be held responsible.
 (2) The ownership of posters participating in this activity shall be held by the Organizing Committee of BJIFF. The Organizing Committee is entitled to reproduce, publish (including e-publishing), exhibit or promote all winning works.
 (3) For shortlisted works which are outstanding in originality but fail to fully demonstrate the required connotations of the film festival, the Organizing Committee is entitled to ask the original author or organize professional designers or institutions to re-produce them.
The original author has the right of authorship, and will obtain the corresponding reward and certificate of honor.

7. Awards arrangement
Total reward:RMB65,000 (Pretax)
First Prize (1 winner):A reward of RMB30,000 and a certificate of honor
Second Prize (2 winners): A reward of RMB10,000 and a certificate of honor
Third Prize (3 winners)A reward of RMB5,000 and a certificate of honor
8. Deadline for solicitation
This solicitation will terminate on December 31, 2015. The works together with  the Application Form of  the 6th BJIFF Poster Solicitation shall be uploaded to the official website of BJIFF.Website:http://system.bjiff.com/hbzj/
    This activity’s final interpretation right shall be owned by the Organizing Committee of BJIFF.
