The 6th BJIFF 2016 Poster Solicitation Designer Salon Kicks Off Grandly

 

    On the evening of December 4th, 2015, the 6th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) 2016 Poster Solicitation Designer Salon was successfully held in the Excellent Art Space of Beijing 798 Art District.
    This salon was sponsored by the Office of the Organizing Committee of BJIFF. Cui Yan, Deputy Head of Beijing International Film& Television Exchange Center, and Liu Zhizhi, a well-known designer and member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI), etc., were present, sharing their personal inspirations and designing experience with the on-site designers and film poster designing lovers. Cui Yan introduced the background of Beijing International Film Festival and the objective and requirements for this poster solicitation, decoding this solicitation activity in an official perspective. Focusing on “poster design”, Liu Zhizhi introduced his creation experience over the years as well as his sentiments for film. He also shared some excellent cases of film poster design both at home and abroad in a bid to offer suggestions for the designers that participated in this salon.
    This salon activity attracted nearly 100 young talents in such designing sectors as graphic design, poster design, and font design. The salon was held successfully, which provided a valuable opportunity of exchange and interaction for the on-site audiences and guests. What’s more, it took salon as the window conveying the philosophy of BJIFF and enlarging its influence, so as to enable the art form of film to more closely interact with graphic design, font design and other design sectors with a brand-new channel. At the same time, it also added to the professional designers’ understanding for the film industry and improved the clout of design in this industry.
