Tips for Ticket Grabbing during BJIFF
The 10th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) is the most special one. The festival previously took place in the spring, but will come right before the autumn this year. Just as a saying goes, "A good dinner is worth waiting", fans are ready for ticket grabbing with the festival near at hand.
Take it easy and take a note!
Time of ticketing
The tickets for the 10th BJIFF will be available from 12:00 p.m. August 19, 2020
Ticketing previously started on time and caused panic buying. During the 9th BJIFF, the 4K restored version of 2001: A Space Odyssey was sold out fastest within 5 seconds.
So it is essential to set an alarm clock and make sure internet connection is good!!
Ticketing channels
As an official partner, Taopiaopiao has been the exclusive ticketing platform for the festival for the third year. It is about to launch a BJIFF ticketing section. Apart from the APP of Taopiaopiao, fans may access the section via the APPs of Alipay and Ele, or buy tickets via the Taopiaopiao WeChat applet.

The most useful feature of the ticketing section is "Schedule" that enables an early addition of desired films to "My Schedule", and the system will provide information such as time conflict, snap-up, film transition duration and distance.
Point: The most easy way to buy tickets is via the Apps of Taopiaopiao, Alipay and Ele. If you have a desired film, the Taopiaopiao WeChat applet is also a good choice.
Film list making
Films to be screened during the festival are being unveiled. You should make a film list yourselves!
Why to make a film list?
To always win in ticket grabbing, you must know your most desired films and those for which tickets are hardest to get!
You should grab tickets for your most desired films that are hardest to get. It was common that ticket packages and the 4K restored version of classics were sold out within minutes or seconds in the previous years. The sections of "Restored Classics", "Long Live the Movie" and "Franchises" this year are absolutely the top priorities. If you there are films you must watch in these sections, do not hesitate to grab them.
Apart from the appeal of films, you should take account of the increasing difficulty caused by factors such as screening in non-working days and the presence of filmmakers. Related information will be released with the screening schedule, please follow it and take a note.
How to grab tickets
e well prepared, the following tips can increase your chance of getting tickets!
  1. Division of labor. Share the task of ticket grabbing with your friends early. Each individual might buy at least five tickets per screening on Taopiaopiao in the previous years. If five individuals work together, the chance of getting a ticket for a desired film will increase greatly.
  2. Clearing. Shut down irrelevant background processes to speed up your mobile phone, and turn off irrelevant notifications to avoid unnecessary disturbance. These operations will help grab tickets quickly.
  3. Speedup. For smooth payment, many fans may enable "Payment without Password" in advance for fear that they will have to enter passwords or verification codes when making payment so that they are likely to miss desired films. (Special tip: There is a risk if you enable "Payment without Password", please be cautious for the sake of security)

At last, wish you would watch desired films during the festival!
