It mainly records the moments when he had to say "goodbye" to his hometown, friends and relatives before he left - which made him doubt his decision. And this conflict has become the focus of the film. This film is a reflection on sense of belonging, as well as a masterpiece of the golden age of Ukrainian Poetic Cinema.
