1. Beijing College Student Film Festival

Beijing College Student Film Festival will be held each April 20-May 4. Based on Beijing and covering the whole China, Beijing College Student Film Festival will invite all latest and excellent films produced in China to participate in the award competition. Student jury members are selected from universities across China, with the largest number of participants among Chinese film festivals. The awards include Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Visual Effects, Best Actor, Best Actress and Special Award for Art Creation. Based on student voting, the awards will be finalized by university students and young critics.

2. Beijing Ethnic Film Festival

Beijing Ethnic Film Festival will be held on April 16-23, 2013. The film festival consists of three sections. Film panorama reflects excellent Chinese ethnic films in recent years. Through an Internet platform, ethnic films will be shown to Chinese and international audiences in multiple languages, showcasing the charm of colorful Chinese culture. Among these three sections, Internet platform will be developed into an endless ethnic film festival; venture capital investment section will promote the development of ethnic film and TV cultural industry, promote Chinese ethnic films to the world and award the winners of the 2nd national ethnic films, TV, and literature scripts selection activity; and the music section will carry on the characteristics of past sessions and hold China Ethnic Film Concert, which will select excellent songs from classical ethnic films since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
