Yi Gongzi Acts As the Ambassador of Traditional Chinese Culture at the 12th BJIFF!
The way to chasing light lies in repeated breakthrough and the courage for cross-border innovation.
In 2022, all filmmakers and fans will enjoy more surprises at the BJIFF. Today, the BJIFF Organizing Committee officially announced: Yi Gongzi, a writer and a self-media lady, will attend the opening ceremony as the ambassador of traditional Chinese culture at the 12th BJIFF.
Yi Gongzi, the founder of the art popularization platform EYArt, is committed to promoting art from the minority to the majority. In 2014, she initiated the way of telling cultural stories in the form of short videos, and created a cultural and art mini talk show Art Is So Easy, which received positive comments and ranked top of broadcasts among similar programs. Since 2019, she has started to focus on the 5,000-year Chinese history, trying to summarize the interesting souls worthy of being remembered in the long history with creative forms, simple and straightforward words…
Apart from her identity as a narrator of culture and art for ten years, she is also a film enthusiast. She once interviewed director Zhang Yimou and composer Tan Dun, and now she often goes out of studio to visit more cultural places in China. She hopes to display more immersive videos for the audience so that they can have the worthwhile new experience as if sitting in the cinema.
As the ambassador of traditional Chinese culture of the 12th BJIFF, she will tell the traditional culture in Chinese films at the opening ceremony and pay tribute to all filmmakers spreading Chinese culture through films. Her cross-border cooperation with the BJIFF will greatly promote the combination with youth and the expression of fashion for Chinese films and traditional culture.
"The greatest role of art is the consolation." Art always helps people discovery the beauty and heal the soul in whatever forms like paintings or films. Let's look forward to her amazing performance and the cross-border innovation at the opening ceremony of the BJIFF!
