The 13th BJIFF “Beijing Film Market Opening Ceremony & Film Night” Successfully Held!
On April 25, the 13th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) joined hands with Bank of Beijing, the only officially exclusive financial institution partner, to hold the "Beijing Market Opening Ceremony & Film Night” at Langyuan Station. 
Zhang Pimin, Chairman of China Film Foundation and former Deputy Director of National Radio and Television Administration, Huo Zhijing, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Director of Beijing Municipal Film Administration and Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the BJIFF Organizing Committee, Chen Ning, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Executive Vice Chairman of the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Yang Peili, Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, Huo Xuewen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Bank of Beijing, Cui Yan, Executive Deputy Director of the BJIFF Organizing Committee Office and other leaders as well as the experts and scholars in the film industry and the representatives of film companies attended the opening ceremony. 
As Zhang Pimin addressed at the opening ceremony, Chinese films have ushered in a new stage of high-quality development, which will put forward higher requirements for comprehensively improving industrialization level of Chinese films in terms of creation, production, investment and financing, financial and legal affairs as well as publicity. The financial institutions with cultural aspirations and warmth represented by Bank of Beijing have been deeply involved in the film industry. I sincerely hope that more and more capitals that focus on social benefits and stick to cultural aspirations will get involved in the film industry and join hands with filmmakers to develop and strengthen Chinese film and build a film power with unremitting efforts.

As Huo Zhijing pointed out in her speech, China is marching forward from a country with a huge number of films to a film power. The film market has gradually taken shape and the film quality is being steadily improved. As a national cultural center, Beijing has gathered the best resources nationwide in terms of film talents, film and television institutions and financial capitals, which provides the fertile soil for film creativity and creation, the reliable escort for new filmmakers and new works. In the future, the BJIFF Organizing Committee will work closely with Bank of Beijing to build top strategic planning, launch featured products, provide all-round services and support for the development of film industry and film creation, and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of Chinese films.

Yang Peili said in her speech that online films have maintained a rapid development since the day of birth, and they have become an important choice of the public cultural and entertainment consumption. In the past years, the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau has focused on project launch and registration, script creation, filming guidance, film review, publicity and promotion, financial support and art criticism, to provide all-chain guidance and support for the production of excellent films. In the future, the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau will continue to join hands with Bank of Beijing to strengthen liaison and cooperation and promote the high-quality development of the online film industry.

Huo Xuewen pointed out in his speech that our film creation has achieved fruitful results with comprehensive breakthroughs in terms of multiple genres and themes as well as continuous release of excellent works. The film industry is ushering in the opportunity of high-quality development. Bank of Beijing has continued to give full play to the unique service advantage of "cultural finance", seize the key opportunity for the development of Chinese films, gather the strength of multiple parties, and jointly explore a new service model of "industry + enterprise + talent" to comprehensively promote the high-quality development of the film industry.

To further support the growth and development of film and television enterprises, the leaders of relevant institutions, such as Beijing Municipal Film Administration, Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, BJIFF Organizing Committee and Bank of Beijing, jointly released the "Star Project" for the capital film and television industry. The project will adopt the "1+3+N" model of optimizing one Beijing Film Industry Joint Base, integrating three cultural and creative franchise institutions and creating N special products of the film industry. It is expected to provide the loans of over 10 billion yuan for the excellent film and television companies within three years and help them pursue the dreams and achieve more success.

During the event, Bank of Beijing Yonghe Cultural Innovation Branch in National Cultural and Financial Cooperation Demonstration Zone, Bank of Beijing National Cultural Innovation Zone Branch and Bank of Beijing Qianmen Cultural Innovation Zone Branch respectively signed strategic cooperation agreement with StudioMDI, MOREVFX and B&T and took the lead to start the journey of chasing dreams and stars.

As the vanguard of developing characteristic cultural finance, three cultural innovation branches of the Bank of Beijing make up the "triple drive" for the "Star Project”. Focusing on the development of cultural enterprises in the capital city, they have issued a total of 12 billion yuan of loans to nearly 700 cultural enterprises. Beijing Municipal Film Administration, Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, BJIFF Organizing Committee Office and other relevant departments and organizations officially granted the award of "Capital Film Financial Promotion Institution" to the three cultural innovation branches during the activity and the unveiling ceremony was also held on the site. Three "Capital Film Financial Promotion Institutions" of the Bank of Beijing will continue to carry forward the concentration, exclusiveness and professionalism to gather strength for the integrated development of "finance + film" in the capital city.

Guo Jinglin, a famous actor, outstanding actor of the 13th Huabiao Film Awards, and vice chairman of Beijing TV Artists Association, was appointed as "Honorary Tutor of Film and Television Industry in Bank of Beijing” and Huo Xuewen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Bank of Beijing, issued the letter of appointment to him. Guo Jinglin said that he, as a film worker in the capital, would spare no effort to contribute to the innovation and development of the film and television industry in the capital city! In the future, the BJIFF will join hands with Bank of Beijing to continuously strengthen its mission as the financial institution in the capital, build a financial bridge to "tell Chinese stories, spread Chinese voices and convey Chinese spirits", and contribute to a new glory for the film industry in the new era!
Over the past thirteen years, the BJIFF, an important driving force for the high-quality development of Chinese films and an important force in the world's film ecosystem, has brought great passions and surprises to the film development in the world. At the 13th BJIFF Beijing Film Market Opening Ceremony & Film Night on April 25, the BJIFF also signed contracts for new cooperation with Beijing Fashion Week, Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) and Beijing Time-Honored Brands Association.  
The Beijing International Film Festival Co., Ltd. and Beijing Fashion Week Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement, which not only represented the cross-border connection and two-way empowerment between film industry and fashion industry, but also further promoted the integration and win-win cooperation of the cultural industry.

As the first cooperation between the BJIFF and the HAF, the Projects of Hong Kong, China subsection was added in the Project Pitches. The BJIFF cooperated with the Beijing Time-Honored Brands Association to fully explore the excellent resources of the film industry and the fast-moving consumer industry. Through cross-border cooperation, it will bring better experience to film fans and happy hours to the masses, and play a positive role in promoting the economic recovery in Beijing. To achieve the effect of carnival throughout the city, a total of 1,000 stores of 20 members of the Beijing Time-Honored Brands Association participated in the welfare activity for film fans. The strategic cooperation between the Beijing Time-Honored Brands Association and the BJIFF will bring more opportunities and markets to promote the common development of Chinese traditional culture and film industry.

To enhance the development of young filmmakers, the BJIFF and Chaoyang International Cultural Original Youth Talent Alliance held the "F40" Excellent Cultural Innovation Youth Talent Program. It is a platform where dreams can bloom to the fullest as well as a platform full of infinite possibilities. Ms. Li Laimeng, Deputy Secretary of Chaoyang Youth League Committee, shared the "F40" Excellent Cultural Innovation Youth Talent Program on the site.
