18 Outstanding Works Stand Out at Recently Concluded Selection Section of 19th Beijing International Sports Film Week

The film recommendations of the 19th Beijing International Sports Film Week, themed "Double Olympic Dreams in Images", and the 41st Sport Movies & TV-Milano International FICTS FEST-World Championship Final (Beijing) took place in Beijing on August 11, 2023, where nine professional judges gathered together to discuss and select the 18 most promising films.

The "Most Popular Film" selection was successfully conducted on August 14, 2023. By virtue of their unique perspectives and keen sense, the jury of media experts selected an outstanding film that holds sports cultural significance, has the greatest communication impact and could resonate widely with the public from the 46 recommended outstanding works.

In the preliminary evaluation of this year's Beijing International Sports Film Week, a total of 46 outstanding works were selected and will be publicly displayed at the Beijing International Sports Film Week Poster Exhibition. Among them, 18 shortlisted works will compete for the 41st Sport Movies & TV-Milano International FICTS FEST-World Championship Final, following the Rules of the Beijing International Sports Film Week and Sport Movies & TV-Milano International FICTS FEST-World Championship Final (Beijing) for the Selection of Film Works. The selected works will be officially announced at the "release of outstanding works and the homecoming-themed movie-watching activity for Olympic participants" on September 8, 2023. The 19th Beijing International Sports Film Week, themed "Double Olympic Dreams in Images", was hosted by the BJIFF Organizing Committee, the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) and the Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA), and organized by the Committee on Information of the COC and the Beijing Olympic City Development Center. It's an important dual Olympic legacy brand project launched in 2005. The Sports Film Week has been a part of the Sport Movies & TV-Milano International FICTS FEST-World Championship Final co-hosted by the FICTS and IOC since 2009. Among the 2022 collection of works, Breaking Through, Light on Yoga, Cheer Up, A Date with Snow and Ice and The Wonder of Dance were nominated for the 40th Sport Movies & TV-Milano International FICTS FEST-World Championship Final. In particular, A Date with Snow and Ice and The Wonder of Dance won the Mention d'Honneur.
