Rising Stars Awards: College Works Honorary Lists Unveiled for Game-Based Animated Films Section
Guangyang Academy gathers animation's brightest stars. On April 19, the 15th BJIFF's Game-Based Animated Films Section - an industry event focusing on cross-border integration and collaborative innovation - came to a successful conclusion at Guangyang Academy in Xicheng District, Beijing. As a highly regarded incubation platform for young animation creators, the final results of the college works selection were announced at Ceremonies. Young creators from top national universities demonstrated the infinite possibilities in the field of animation and comics with their inspiring brushstrokes and cutting-edge digital expressions. Industry experts, college teachers and students gathered together to witness this highlight moment for future creators.

This year's college works selection event reached an all-time high in scale, attracting more than 70 universities and colleges nationwide and collecting over 1,000 entries. After rigorous evaluation, 56 outstanding works were finally selected.
It is worth noting that the college works selection was originally divided into two tracks: "Animated Shorts" and "Comic Works." However, during the review process of the comic unit, multiple picture book works demonstrated cutting-edge characteristics of cross-media narrative. Based on the differences in artistic forms and evaluation criteria between the two, the jury pioneered the launch of "an independent review channel for picture books", conducting a unified evaluation of all picture book works. This initiative not only maintains the fairness and impartiality of the competition system but also aligns with the general trend of media convergence in the contemporary field of visual narrative.
