11th BJIFF-Film Carnival to Take Place from September 19 to October 6
The Film Carnival of the 11th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) will be held from September 19 to October 6, with the theme "Scientific and Technological Innovation in Huairou, Pursuit of Film Dreams". The night session will make its debut. In addition to the State Production Base of China Film Group, several new venues will be added, including Flower Sea of the Film Town and Deer World Theme Park. A total of 46 interactive activities of film technologies will be launched.
The biggest highlight is the night session that will fuel the night economy including night travel, entertainment, shopping and dining.
Flower Sea of the Film Town
Several events will be staged, including the Opening Ceremony of the Film Carnival, Film Culture Exhibition, Film-themed Date, Tech-powered Projection and Light Feast. With light art as soul, the Flower Sea of the Film Town will be lighted up by a show containing 1,000 colorful, gorgeous and fantastic lights; with performing & artistic activities as media, domestic top cultural IP, including China Philharmonic Orchestra, China Puppet Theatre, Rayli and Kunlun Fight, will present a visual feast of light and shadow, sound and electricity and strength and beauty; with tourists' experiences as orientation, Internet-famous attractions like Pink House and Cultural Landscape LOGO, as well as various cultural bazaars will be launched to freeze impressive moments of films; Film Culture Exhibition will demonstrate the historical and cultural changes of films to bring tourists and films together beyond time and space.
Deer World Theme Park
A number of family projects, such as kids' talent show, colorful slides, Jurassic World Mini-train, and Cute Animal Farm, will be launched to create an immersive film-themed light show, providing a unique "Wonderful Night of Cute Animals". Here tourists can also enjoy the fun of children with their families at Family Theatre, explore mysteries with scientific geeks at Magic Lab, peer into the universe through the astronomical telescopes on a platform, watch films and enjoy film-themed delicacies in Starry Tent as if they were in a dreamland of films and technologies.
Yangsong Cultural Center
On September 1, Yangsong "Star Nest" Campsite opened! It will be built into a new Internet-famous art attraction. In addition to camping, it is intended to create a more creative and dynamic modern life, demonstrate and extend the vitality of youths and new consumption. During the event, the campsite will be divided into the stage area, the dinning area and the tea area, and a grill will be placed before each tent so that you can enjoy the fun of barbecue. Here you can have beer and hot drinks and glut yourselves with meat while chatting with your friends.
In addition, this carnival will offer in-depth interactive experiences such as outdoor screenings, influencer streaming, performing arts commune and Cosplay competition so as to create a new urban lifestyle of audio, video and play.
