Beijing Film Night - LU STYLE Cooks the Film Stories into Exquisite Delicacies

Film Meets Food | Interpreting the "Beauty in Common" Between Art and Life
Art comes from life. See the beauty with your heart.
This is true for films and also for food.
On April 20, at the 15th BJIFF “Beijing Film Night and Versace Filmmakers Gala Dinner”, LU STYLE, the official exclusive quality catering brand of this year's BJIFF and the pioneer of new-style Shandong cuisine, customized “two teas and five dishes” exclusively for BJIFF. Inspired by the fusion of the classics of Chinese film history and the best flavors of Qilu mountains and seas, it looks back on the century-long glory of Chinese films and pays high tribute to the glorious journey of the 120th anniversary of Chinese films!

Two Teas, Honoring the Ingenuity of the Times
The affection of the Chinese people always ferments in a cup of tea. According to ancient etiquette, guests are served tea when they arrive, and soup when they leave. This has been ingrained in the Chinese people for thousands of years.
As the only catering company in China that has been awarded the honor of “Great National Brand” and the only Shandong cuisine brand that has won both Michelin and Black Pearl honors, LU STYLE has been deeply rooted in the fertile soil of China's excellent traditional culture since its establishment, with health, aesthetics and food and tea pairing as its labels.
This time, LU STYLE specially presented “two teas”:
The first tea “Spring Blink” is taken from the first batch of silver needles from old tee trees. The buds are plump and full of fragrance, just like the increasingly prosperous Chinese film industry.
The second one, “Golden Years”, is taken from Phoenix Dancong. The tea soup is as mellow as the rolling film, paying tribute to the classic light and shadow accumulated over the years.
With these two teas, LU STYLE pays tribute to the filmmakers' perseverance through wind and rain, to the sentimental resonance between audiences and the light and shadow, and to the love and expectations in every ordinary day!

Five Dishes, Honoring the Glory of the Times
“Five” represents the balance of the five elements, the fusion of the five senses, and is LU STYLE's contemporary interpretation of “Beauty in Common”. Just like how films piece together the world from multiple perspectives, LU STYLE blends and weaves the texture of life with the five flavors. In addition, LU STYLE is committed to creating a culture of fortune and luck. The five dishes represent five blessings. May the plates become a container of blessings so that every guest can “return with blessings”.
Among them, the fruit starter “Colorful Love” features four colorful fresh fruits, like a beautiful encounter between the innocence of the screen and the gift of nature.

The appetizer “Three Songs of The Fishermen” pays tribute to China's first international award-winning Film: Song of The Fishermen. It uses a four-flavor platter including yellow croaker jelly and eight-color pancakes to unveil the prelude to the diverse beauty of Chinese films.

The soup “The GrandGinseng” is named after The Grandmaster. The emerald green soup is like the martial arts world of director Wong Kar-wai, where the essence can be seen from the simplest and perfect.

The main dish, “Slow Fire Kung Fu Hustle”, is inspired by the film Kung Fu Hustle. Slowly simmered, Shandong black beef is wrapped in the fruity aroma of caramel pineapple, and when you bite into it, you can taste the craftsmanship that comes from “ten years of hard work”.

The last dessert, “Blooming Youth”, is inspired by the Song Dynasty peonies that are sourced from LU STYLE over 880 years ago. The smoothness of the mousse and the sweetness of the osmanthus honey collide to create the fiery and purity of Youth.

The five dishes, each name hides the soul of the film, each taste is wrapped in the freshness of mountains and seas, and the harmony of the five elements embodies the thousand years of wisdom “Food Carries the Dao” of Shandong cuisine.
Born for Beauty | Writing a Common Answer Across Time and Space
LU STYLE's heart is as determined and hardworking as those of filmmakers.
Since its establishment, it has been fortunate to receive guidance from Shandong cuisine master Wang Yijun and food consultant Mr. Qu Hao. While inheriting the authentic Shandong cuisine, it continues to study other cuisines in depth, learn from others' strengths and bring forth new ideas. At the same time, it adheres to the principle of health first and create a quality dining experience; It incorporates aesthetic thinking, combines ancient cultural classics with modern design language and creates hundreds of different aesthetic spaces in hundreds of stores to provide an immersive aesthetic dining experience.

From the inheritance of Shandong cuisine to cross-border dialogue, LU STYLE has always been committed to inheriting Qilu culture and telling Chinese stories. The two teas and five dishes at Beijing Film Night are not just a simple cross-border collaboration. Behind them is the collective resonance of LU STYLE's brand concept of “Born for Beauty” and BJIFF “Beauty in Common”. It is also the joint exploration and practice of a better life by both parties!
