Adhering to its core positioning of "balanced integration of genre innovation and industrial value", the Online Film Section has curated a lineup of high-quality works from global submissions, demonstrating the new heights achieved in the development of online cinema.

The submission phase of this festival’s Online Film Section garnered an enthusiastic response, with 568 entries received, all competing for nine evaluations. After rigorous selection and in-depth deliberation by a professional jury, 20 outstanding films distinguished by their artistic merit and conceptual depth have been shortlisted for the final round. These selections span diverse genres such as suspense, realism, and fantasy. They exhibit distinctive creativity in narrative structure and audiovisual expression, while also possessing precise market positioning and strong communication potential, fully aligning with the section's goal of discovering quality content that achieves "both critical acclaim and commercial success". All shortlisted films comply with industry standards, with several having already built a market foundation through solid word-of-mouth, representing the current cutting-edge standards in online film production.

The first Red Carpet and Selection Gala for the BJIFF Online Film Section will be held at the Sky Stadium of Hebei Academy of Fine Arts in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, from 18:30 to 21:00 (Beijing Time) on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. The detailed shortlist is provided in Attachment .
