In June's scorching heat, Tang Sanzang and his disciples take shelter in a desolate temple. Sun Wukong leaves to find food, while Zhu Bajie, feigning illness, discovers watermelons. After dividing them into four portions, Zhu eats three shares, only to be caught by returning Sun. Pretending ignorance, Sun uses melon rinds to trip Zhu comically. Realizing his greed, Zhu apologizes sheepishly. The group shares the remaining fruit and resumes their westward journey.
