Gather Guests from All Walks of Life with Films
The 13th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) opened on April 22. As the first international film festival fully resuming offline events in China, the 13th BJIFF will continue to create a vivid and far-sighted space for the film industry. While building the community with a shared future for mankind based on films, the 13th BJIFF will strive to step up the construction of the “four centers” of Beijing in the international, professional and audience-centered perspective, thus offering “China’s solution” and “Beijing’s vitality” for the development and prosperity of the international community of films. Many international guests were invited to attend the BJIFF this year, share the grand event together and jointly promote the development of film industry.
Thailand, the Guest of Honor at the 13th BJIFF, sent a delegation represented by Vanasri Molekhun, Permanent Secretary Consultant of the Ministry of Culture of Thailand, including more than ten officials from the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, more than 30 representatives from seven top Thai film companies, to attend the 13th BJIFF to share the amazing outcome and experience on films. 
The Thai delegation participated in the opening ceremony of the BJIFF, in which Arthayudh Srisamoot, Ambassador of Thailand to China, acted as the guest host. The delegation visited the State Production Base of China Film Group in Huairou, Beijing Film Academy (Huairou Campus), the Government Service Station of the Huairou International Film and Television Production Service Center and China National Film Museum in the next few days. During the days of visit, the delegation strengthened their understanding of the history and current situation of China's film and television industry. They said that they would encourage young Thai filmmakers to receive the film and television industry training in China and more Thai film and television companies to do business with China's film and television industry.

On April 23, the opening ceremony of Thailand Film Week was held at Broadway Cinematheque. Benjamin Sukanjanajtee, Minister of the Thai Embassy in China, Vanasri Molekhun, Permanent Secretary Consultant of the Ministry of Culture of Thailand and representatives of the BJIFF Organizing Committee attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

At the Beijing Film Market held from April 25 to 27, seven key Thai film and television companies established the booths with the theme of Thai film and television to promote the excellent Thai film and television works and preferential policies for film shooting.

Nguyễn Thị Thu Hà, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Film Bureau, Nguyễn Phương Thảo, Deputy Director of Distribution Department, and Nguyễn Đình Jin, Deputy Director of the Arts Management Department of the Hanoi Sports and Culture Department, attended the opening ceremony, the forums and other events at the BJIFF. They also met with the leaders of China Film Administration and talked about the current situation and development trend of film industry as well as the cooperation between two countries.

In addition, film agencies from Malaysia, Jordan, Germany, France, South Korea, the United States and other countries also sent representatives to attend the 13th BJIFF. 
What the BJIFF conveys is not only the beauty and poetry of the spring in Beijing, but also the broad-mindedness and vision of China connecting the outside world for exchange, communication and development. We will continue to take film as the belt and light and shadow as the bridge to build a platform for promote film and television cultural exchanges in the world and tell Chinese stories.
