Overview:
The 14th BJIFF Short Video Section features the theme of “Life and Living in Short Videos”.
As a major form of creation, short videos are playing an increasingly important role in cultural communication. The section calls for excellent short videos with warmth, depth, breadth, and highlights, and encourages creators to adopt new techniques and new concepts to record the beautiful moments of ordinary life and show the vitality and colors in life, and display the unique appeal of various styles and subject matters to the audience. In this way, the good practice and aesthetic standards of the short video industry will be elevated, and the presentation of art, aesthetics and social values will be enriched so as to tell Chinese stories, depict splendid civilization, and display the style of the era.
The section includes multiple sub-sections, such as Review and Recommendation, Masterpiece Panorama, Master’s Workshop and Theme Forum series. With a focus on hot topics regarding short video, the Theme Forum aims to predict the way forward and possible trends of the Internet audiovisuals, establish good practices and standards of the industry, provide a high-level platform for exchanges and interaction among short video creators, industry experts, scholars and professionals, advance joint training of new productivity of short videos by the academia and the industry, and facilitate high-quality development of the short video industry.
