Media registration for the 7th Beijing International Film Festival kicks off

 

  The 7th Beijing International Film Festival is scheduled to be held in Beijing from April 16 to 23, 2017. The BJIFF Organizing Committee will accept media application from February 15 and sincerely invites domestic and foreign journalists to cover the festival.

  The 6th Beijing International Film Festival attracted over 300 Chinese and foreign film institutions, as well as over 15,000 Chinese and foreign guests and filmmakers from over 50 countries and regions. The "Tiantan Award" organized by BTV received 433 entries from 42 countries and regions. Beijing Film Panorama received 2,329 entries from 105 countries and regions, and presented a wide variety of films popular with viewers. Over 500 outstanding films were selected and over 1,000 sessions were screened, with a total of over 220,000 viewers and total box office earnings of over 10 million yuan. Theme Forum discussed frontier and professional topics, with the participation of a galaxy of elitists, including renowned Chinese and foreign filmmakers like Giuseppe Tornatore, Natalie Portman, Raman Hui, James Schamus, Ian Smith and Yu Dong. Film Market covered the whole film industry chain, improved in scale and quality, attracted 235 registered exhibitors and over 30,000 visitors, and had 49 key projects signed with a total contract amount of 16.331 billion yuan, up 18 percent year on year, consolidating its status of Asia's largest film market. the 6th BJIFF attracted 1,623 journalists from 289 domestic and foreign media outlets.

  To facilitate media interviews, the 7th Beijing International Film Festival Press Center will operate from April 14 to 23, 2017 (specific time subject to a notice sent by the 7th Beijing International Film Festival Organizing Committee by e-mail or SMS, all registered media must assure that you are contactable by e-mail or SMS). Then the Press Center will offer journalists services such as registration, accreditation, interview appointment, media briefing and press conference. Our website will open for registration from 9:00 AM February 15 to 6:00 PM April 1, 2017. Please complete the application form online for registration.
