　　Synopsis: This movie tells of a story that a group of loyal heroes in the Ming Dynasty fend off Japanese pirates. In addition to such a lineup of Feng Hsu and Pai Ying, we can also see the young images of such Kung Fu stars as Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao and Yuen Wah. Its editing, lighting and music are all of first-ranking quality. Besides chivalry, Director King Hu also thinks of the decisive factors outside the battlefield. The scene of taking chess as soldiers is very classical, deserving retrospect on the big screen.
