Inspired by ancient Chinese traditional martial arts, the Kung Fu Panda series tell the epic and legendary story of a chubby giant panda, Po, who learns the unrivaled martial arts with unremitting efforts. His passion for kung fu can be matched by his craze for food. The first film of Kung Fu Panda series was nominated for Academy Awards in 2008 and became the original animation produced by DreamWorks with the highest box office. The trilogy has won a box office of more than 1.8 billion dollars worldwide and a good harvest of nearly 1.8 billion yuan in China. 

In the past fifteen years, Kung Fu Panda has become a popular and enduring IP. The film series and the animation series that won the Emmy Awards have attracted a large number of fans in China. Meanwhile, the peripheral products authorized by the IP series and the scenic spot themed “Unrivaled Land of Kung Fu Panda" in Universal Beijing Resort have also been greatly favored by the masses. In the future, the IP will produce the animation and the most anticipated Kung Fu Panda 4 in 2024.

To commemorate the 15th anniversary of Kung Fu Panda, a special screening was held at the Universal CityWalk Cinema in Beijing for the BJIFF film fans. Po, Tigress and Mei Mei showed up to bring a great surprise as well as a wonderful watching and interactive experience for all the fans on the event site. Meanwhile, an online exclusive celebration page themed with “The 15th Anniversary of DreamWorks Animation Kung Fu Panda” was launched on the Movie Channel of Tencent Video.
