From the Screen to the Cloud, the 15th Beijing International Film Festival Creates a Hit for All
The 15th Beijing International Film Festival successfully created a city-wide Film Carnival. During the event, more than 200 exciting events were held in Beijing and Tianjin, more than 300 domestic and foreign excellent works were screened, and more than 1,000 films were screened. The "Beijing Film & Life Festival" boosted 28 business districts, attracting more than 39 million visitors. Offline cinemas were packed and online discussions were hot. Topics about BJIFF were read 3.9 billion times across social media, and related live broadcasts were viewed more than 20 million times, setting a new record in the volume of dissemination.
The film festival has penetrated into the lives of citizens, covering large outdoor screens in key business districts across the city, attracting 2,002 journalists from 122 countries and regions to participate in the reporting, and its multi-language dissemination covers the world. Forums, workshops & masterclasses and other activities deeply explored the future of the industry. The Official Selection of Tiantan Award attracted widespread attention. BJIFF not only showcases the charm of film art but also becomes an important engine for promoting cultural consumption and urban vitality.
