2022 BJIFF ASUS E-Volunteer Social Good Video Section Officially Launched!
In the past 14 years, the ASUS e-volunteers have covered more than 30 key cities and 1,000 colleges and universities across China, affecting more than 80 million people in total.
In line with the concept of “towards technological innovation and social responsibility”, ASUS has long been dedicated to the integration of its own development with social development, and has joined hands with the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League to launch the “ASUS e-Volunteer Project” since 2009. Over the past 14 years, ASUS e-volunteers have left their footprints in more than 30 key cities and 1,000 colleges and universities across China, affecting more than 80 million people in total. The knowledge delivered and hope raised by ASUS e-Volunteer project has reached all parts of the country. In recent years, it has focused more on the growth of young people, and encouraging and supporting caring young people with the spirit of exploration to give play to creativity and achieve self-breakthrough in the field they love.
In 2022, the ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Project, in collaboration with the Beijing Cultural Development Foundation, will upgrade to the ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Section, and will launch the ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Collection and Proposal Conference and ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Project Workshop at the 12th BJIFF. This aims to inspire young people to create videos for social good and express it through videos, and to hunt for talented young video creators. The section intends to convey power with social good videos, and warm each and every person like the sun.

Retrospection
In 2021, the ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Project recruited a total of 1,789 teams with 17,890 people participating in the shooting and output 500+ social good videos in all. The total number of online views on video platforms came to 62.77 million.
In 2022, we are still on the road to promoting social good, continuing to make our voices heard through actions. Spreading warmth and care through social good videos, we welcome you who are interested in action for good to the e-Volunteer Social Good Video Project.

The advances in science and technology not only make social good a lifestyle, but also make our lives change dramatically.
If you can imagine through the lens how science and technology change the world and creates an ideal future intelligent world. You are welcome to submit your creations!
Theme 2: Warmth, Fulfillment
Express what you’re concerned about, Record what makes you warm.
Over the years, e-volunteers have brought joy to children deep in the mountains; helped the elderly living alone to relieve their loneliness; warmed the fragile hearts of autistic people with images ...
It is our hope that you are a person who can experience and perceive life through the lens, create more beauty with your actions, and share the warmth of love and life with your videos.
Theme 3: Dimension, Breakthrough
Diverse styles of creation, Multiple ways of expression
The e-Volunteer Social Good Video Project hopes to build a platform for young people with distinctive personalities to express their voices for social good in their own unique ways and communicate and connect with each other.
We look forward to your creation of social good themed videos in any style you like, such as animation and ancient Chinese style, or in mash-ups.
Requirements
1. There is no limitation on the type and story of the video, but a runtime ranging between two minutes and 20 minutes. The content should be relevant to the theme, have distinct purport, spread positive energy, and align with the current underlying values.
2. The resolution of the entry must be 1,280 * 720 and higher. The video must be original and free from copyright infringement.
3. Anyone who submits a work to participate in the event agrees to accept the rules and regulations set by the organizing committee, and the host reserves the right of final explanation of the event.

Proposal Conference
On July 30, 2022, some of the contestants showed their creative works through the proposal conference, from which the jury selected 25 outstanding contestants to join the e-Volunteer Social Good Video Project Workshop in Beijing.

The actual list will be determined on the epidemic prevention and control policy or other force majeure factors.
Through four days and three nights of study, the workshop aims to tap and cultivate young creators, move faster to empower young people, accompany volunteers as they grow up, and let the film see the growth and transformation of young people in such forms as lectures by famous people, professional guidance, video creation, industry exchange, and results display. In response to the trend of the times, it promotes greater synergy between industry, academia, and research with the advantage of resource interconnection, builds a gateway to the industry for young creators, and injects fresh blood into the development of Chinese cinema.
More young filmmakers are welcome to join the BJIFF ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Section and witness the charm of the video together.
