Lou Yixiao, head of the Game-Based Animated Films Section, is teaming up with her many good friends, and competing in a star tournament against the winner team from the Film Company Challenge this year so as to present the brilliance of filmmakers on the field of e-sports. The lively and exciting challenge aims to showcase the synergy between film and e-sports industries, warm up the e-sports culture vibe, and promote e-sports for all.
I. About the event
The E-sports Celebration for Filmmakers consists of the Film Company Challenge and “Lou Yixiao and Her Friends’ E-Sports Party”. The challenge calls for teams set up by film companies to compete in a single-elimination tournament for the top 3 teams. The winner team will participate in a star tournament, i.e. “Lou Yixiao and Her Friends’ E-Sports Party”, and race against Lou Yixiao and her star friends.
Apart from the star tournament, top 3 teams will attend the honor ceremony of the Game-Based Animated Films Section, and receive award presented by the jury of the Tiantan Award and star guests.
1. Time: 10:00AM-, April 21, 2024
2. Venue: Deer World Theme Park, Huairou District, Beijing
3. Game: Honor of Kings (TBC)
4. Competition timeline: A one-day tournament in the form of Bo1 single elimination to determine the top 3 out of 8 teams.
5. Details:
1) The winner team will participate in the “Lou Yixiao and Her Friends’ E-Sports Party” and race against stars;
2) The top 3 teams will attend the Red Carpet, honor ceremony and other activities under the Game-Based Animated Films Section for further counterpart exchanges.
3) All the winning teams will be awarded honors presented by the jury of Tiantan Award and star guests.
II. Eligibility
1. Scope: Film companies that wish to join the 14th BJIFF Game-Based Animated Films Section (Each company shall enter the challenge with a maximum of one team. No individual entrants will be accepted).
2. Entrants: Every company shall set up its team with five members (One substitute is allowed and a member in charge is to be designated per team for contact)
3. Entry timeline: March 13 to 29
III. How to enter
Scan the QR code at the end of the article for the entry form and fill in required items, such as the company name, member in charge and contact information. Where there are more teams entered than expected, an online preliminary will be organized with prior notice to select 8 teams for the challenge offline. Please make sure that the designated member in charge is always reachable.
